ABOUT AUTISM
Autism is a different way of processing sensory and social information. Autistic individuals may experience sensations intensely or less acutely, and may find social interactions challenging. They often have intense interests and attachment to routines, and changes can cause them anxiety. Autism is a spectrum; each autistic person is unique, and their support needs vary.
Autism is approximately four times more common in boys than in girls and occurs across all racial, ethnic, and social groups. Although no single cause has been identified, scientific evidence suggests a genetic origin.
ABOUT US
Fundación Camina Conmigo is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for children with autism. We provide comprehensive services, including therapeutic care, healthcare, nutrition, and education to children and their families diagnosed with autism, medical complications, and other neurodevelopmental disorders.
SPONSOR A CHILD
Making it possible for a child to receive therapy, attend school, interact with other children, play, learn, and explore in their unique and magical way truly contributes to improving lives.
We rely on sponsors who, month by month, help cover tuition fees, therapies, medical appointments, or medications for the children. There are still children without sponsors, and we carry out independent work to cover these expenses. However, with more sponsors, we would be able to meet all the children’s needs and even open new spots for more children and families to become part of the Foundation.
If you want to be part of this project, please contact us. You will receive the introductory letter of the child you are supporting with your contribution, as well as reports on their progress in therapy and the corresponding invoices for the case.
